The top seven Singles players in the ATP rankings automatically qualify for the ATP Finals based on their results during the year.
The final spot can go to a player who has won a Grand Slam event during the season, but is not ranked in the top seven in the world. If nobody fits this criteria, then the player ranked number eight qualifies for the ATP Finals.
The top two players from each group then progress to the knockout stage, with two semifinals followed by a final to crown the overall winner.

Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev
These three players have all reached world number one status at some point during the season. Additionally, the total ATP title leaders from this year accurately reflects the bulk of the qualified list of players competing in the World Tour Finals next week. Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic both have six titles apiece, with Daniil Medvedev claiming five titles. The fourth man who qualified, Jannik Sinner, has four. The outlier here is Sebastián Báez, who won three ATP titles in 2023, but didn’t make the final eight.
