This blog is
* a record of woodland activities
* an alternative to Facebook - no login required, no ads, easy to navigate
* uses some of the material I've got on other sites
including:
* a photographic essay of the places and activities I'm working on,
* stories and text essays about those same things, and
* a way of connecting with other people about this stuff.
The main story is about woodland activities around Waterhouses, Esh Winning, and other nearby areas. It is a record of what I get up to, and hopefully in due course, about group activities. These activities include making trails, managing woodland for habitat and amenity, highlighting historic and landscape features, and eventually running public work sessions.
The blogposts mostly fall into one of three categories: exploring, work sessions, and abstractions. This last one includes explainer pages like this one, more abstract topics or philosophising, and creative activities like mapping, artwork and wordplay. The posts are labelled for easy identification.
That said, I'm going to dive right in.
