The success of the High School Musical franchise helped profits grow by more than 15%. It would later sell those stores back to Disney to focus more on its in-house brand. There are now more than 1,000 stores in the chain located in the United States and Canada as well as Puerto Rico. Most of the stores are in enclosed malls, but some are standalone stores. The Children's Place divides its merchandise into several key areas, including Baby Girls and Boys for children up to 12 months or seven pounds. Shoppers with kids who wear 12 months to 5T sizes can shop in the Toddler Girls and Boys section. There is also a Big Girls and Boys section with sizes up to 16.
