Computers:

Computers in our brains! Sounds wild, right? Well, not really if you ask Ray Kurzweil who is an American author, inventor and futurist. He thinks that technology will evolve to the point where computers are installed in our brains or at least in brain-like processors. This may be much sooner than you think!
Robots:
According to Kurzweil, "nanobots" could be in our brains by about 2030. Nanobots are tiny robots made at the nanoscale, which you can't even see with a regular microscope. These bots will hook up to your neurons and synapses in order to monitor brain activity. They will also release neurotransmitters, which can then be picked up by your brain cells.
In the future, nanobots will collect brain data and send it to a computer. This will allow us to download thoughts and memories from our brains onto computers! According to an article in " The Economist ", Kurzweil says that in about 15 years we'll be able to fully back up our brains in a computer so that we can live forever. So, in a nutshell, in the future our minds will exist without our bodies.
Artificial Intelligence:
What will happen when computers have artificial intelligence? Will they take over humanity and become sentient? Kurzweil does not think so! He claims that there's no way artificial intelligence could become sentient. How so? Well, he believes it's because there are more neurons in your brain than all the computers currently on Earth combined!
