Introduction

Aleksandr Pantiukhov (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates Telescope (website/mobile application) (hereinafter referred to as “Service”). Our Privacy Policy governs your visit to Telescope (website/mobile application), and explains how we collect, safeguard and disclose information that results from your use of our Service. We use your data to provide and improve Service. By using Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Your privacy is important to us. It is Telescope's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website, https://telescope.ac, https://editor.telescope.ac, and other sites we own and operate.

In general, we don't ask for any personal information. We also don’t share any personally identifying information publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law.

Our website may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies.

Definitions

We may also collect the impersonalized IP address information, the pages of our Service that you visit, and other diagnostic data. We don’t share any of this data with third-parties, except when required to by law.

Location Data

  1. We doesn’t ask for location and don’t use your precise location data.
  2. However, we get country by your IP address and store this information in impersonalized and unidentifyable way.

Cookies Data

  1. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies such as local storage to save information about authorized user in a browser.
  2. Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device.
  3. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to log in and use parts of our service.
  4. We don’t use any of cookies for marketing purposes.
  5. All the cookies get deleted after you log out.

  2. We will also retain Usage Data (which is impersonalized and is limited to your IP address and the country) for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Disclosure of Data

Under certain circumstances, we may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

We may also disclose your e-mail address to our e-mail service provider to send you both transactional and marketing e-mails. No other information will be shared in this case. Marketing e-mails are only being sent with your consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.

The security of your data is important to us, and we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, even if it cannot be used to identify you.

Please note that we may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests. Please note, we may not able to provide Service without some necessary data.

Service Providers

  1. We may employ third party companies to facilitate our Service (“Service Providers”), provide Service on our behalf.
  2. These third parties will have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf, and the amount of Personal Data they will get will be limited to a bare required minimum.
  3. Currently, the list of Service Providers we use is limited to Mailchimp, Twilio Sendgrid, and Paddle (for payments).

Analytics

We don’t use any third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service.

Advertising

We don’t use any third-party Service Providers to show advertisements to you.

Payments

  1. We may provide paid products and/or services within Service. In that case, we use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors).
  2. We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy.

Links to Other Sites

  1. Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click a third party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.
  2. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

Children's Privacy

  1. Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”).
  2. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

  1. We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
