I am sure a lot of readers are familiar with Pavlov’s dog experiments, for those who do not – here an excerpt from an online report.
During the 1890s, Pavlov (Ivan Petrovich Pavlov (1849–1936) researched salivation in dogs in response to being fed. Pavlov expected his dogs to salivate for food, but noticed they began salivating at the mere sound of his assistant’s approaching footsteps. Pavlov started from the idea that there are some things that a dog does not need to learn. For example, dogs don’t learn to salivate whenever they see food.
This reflex is ‘hard-wired’ into the dog.
Pavlov showed that dogs could be conditioned to salivate at the sound of a bell if that sound was repeatedly presented at the same time that they were given food.
My thought is that we humans are no better. Sure, we think we are sooo intelligent, so far advance than these lowly creatures but we are not.
I have seen bright, educated, highly intelligent “Journalists” drooling as they ask about Heaven – zero evidence of any such – “What will life be like?” – and I am going, “do they not know that this guy has never been there? That he is reading the same books as they have? That such questions have been asked repeatedly?”
And yet they do and their smile gets bigger and bigger and the drool increases as the religious guy goes on and on about how wonderful Heaven would be, no more pain or suffering, the easy good life to be enjoyed forever and ever! yay! Watch now: https://youtu.be/21e7bZvgf6E
