Woke up today reading on what it means to live and be useful to God. I remember a show that came on a long time ago called Super Story; at the end of the show, a narrator would say “We are nothing but pencils in the hands of the creator”. It made me laugh back then. But, now that I see God for the wonderful designer that He is, it has become a desire to be an instrument for His beautiful work of art called love.
However, I am learning that to become worthy of use is really not by something I have done to make it happen, but a nature I bear in Christ and get transformed into by daily submitting to His will.
"No man ever became holy by chance. There must be a resolve, a desire, a panting, a pinning after obedience to God, or else we shall never have it" _ Charles Spurgeon.
Accepting that He has called me to walk holy (set apart) and blameless (not condemned) before Him is always a very good place to start my day, and the joy that comes with this understanding begins to fuel my prayer, worship, and fellowship with Him.
