
EBGOC has been conducting the final cumulative test for specialty trainee doctors. The first test was conducted in 2016. The tests are conducted considering CESMA rules and regulations. All successful candidates become EFOG-EBCOG.
The idea behind this exam-
The idea behind of ebcog exam is to assess the level of capability of the contenders (skills, knowledge, attitude, and judgment) at the decided EU criterion. This makes easy the mobility of O&G all over the nations of the EU (European Union).On the other hand, passing this test doesn’t mean a permit to practise.
The pattern of the test-
EBCOG exam consists of 2 parts, part 1 and part 2.
In Part 1 there is a Knowledge-Based Assessment (KBA) and Part 2 is a Clinical Skills Assessment (OSCE).
A candidate can appear for Part 2 after passing Part 1.
After a candidate clears both parts, an EFOG-EBCOG certificate is provided to them.
How many Attempts?
1- An aspirant who fails to clear 1st Part is not allowed to appear for 2nd part
2- A candidate who clears 1st Part is supposed to take Part 2 within 3 years
3- Once this episode expires or the aspirants’ fails in 2nd Part within 3 years of passing 1st Part the Applicant would be asked again to appear for 1st Part

1- EBCOG exam 2021 procedure is lawful in set-up, content, and conclusion
2- The evaluation is trustworthy, and fair without any favoritism
3- The evaluation is subjected to quality management
4- The test is conducted in the English language
5- Clear set of commands are specified to the candidates
Are there some Eligibility measures?
1- A candidate must have a primary medical degree
2- They should be listed on the catalog of medical practitioners of their country
3- They appear for the ebcog exam at the closing stages of the compulsory national O&G professional training programme
4- For a candidate, it is a must to spend at least 4 years in post-graduate training posts
5- All candidates should have proof of their post-graduate and clinical experience which they may be asked to show when essential
6- Candidates need to confirm that they are not removed or suspended from any clinical practice
7- Also most importantly they are supposed to confirm that they are not at all occupied in any penalizing process related to their clinical practise anywhere right the way through the earth
8- This test is for worldwide candidates
Is a candidate need to provide some proof if asked?
Proofs that all candidates may be asked to provide when going to take part in the EBCOG exam are:
1- Medical doctor
2- License to practise
3- Good standing
4- Finished basic training in O&G
5- Identity card
When the result of the test would be declared?
EBCOG exams are evaluated and marked by computer and verified by the right exam authorities. The results will be notified through email to all the aspirants. Applicants who clear 1st part have notified the dates, details, and spot for their EBCOG exam 2021 2nd part.
