It is no news that drinking tea brings many health benefits. Research has already shown, for example, that drinking alcohol can help with weight loss, prevent chronic disease and even reduce stress.
Now, new studies have proven that drinking tea regularly can help maintain brain health and prevent dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
Drinking Tea Regularly Prevents Diseases
Research from the National University of Singapore followed 957 people over the age of 50 and found that regular tea drinkers - those who drank four or more times a week - had more regulated brain regions than those who drank tea. three times or less per week. This means they were more likely to have robust cognitive function and be better protected against dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases.
Those with a genetic predisposition to Alzheimer's disease benefited more. Among this group, consumption of the drink resulted in an 86% reduction in the risk of suffering from amnesia.
