Reviewing another blogging platform, because I’m obsessed with blogs. And because I’m really interested in how there are many different ways to explore building and nurturing a blogging platform.
What am I looking for my blogging platform, what are the conditions to satisfy, before I call that platform home?
Well, I do hope there is some social feature or aspect, sharability amongst bloggers, natively on the platform. It’s not a requirement right now, as I figure I can fill this gap through other Tiny Web endeavors like forums, etc. While I am away from mainstream socials, I might get back on there to let myself be seen and let people find my words more openly.
I do need the blogging platform to be easy to use, no fuss, no frills sort of situation. I do like the idea of personalization, having theme options are great. However, I don’t want to have to tinker too much with designing until much, much later. Or maybe I won’t care about personalizing my blog at all. Maybe I’ll let the words do all the talking... since I have so many dang words to share.
They keep spilling out of me, talking for me, instead of letting myself sit with them and understand what they are trying to say. I’m afraid if I don’t capture them down and publish them now, I will refuse to look at them, refuse to give them the time of day, and shrug them off to a later time where I am more ready to deal with them.
But the truth is I’m ready to deal with them now. The time is now. So if I have to spill my words out and refine them over time, then so be it.
I can be seen learning in public. Other people might even benefit from it too.
Alas, let’s see how Telescope looks like once I publish this stream of consciousness writing.
Thanks for being here.
Sincerely,
Nadine ♥
