Challenges
Pharmaceutical products have been used to improve health and treat illnesses for thousands of years and their vital role has been proved again during covid-19 pandemic around the world.
The aim of establishment of Philex Pharmaceutical Complex in Salalah free zone was to benefit from Oman’s strategic geographical location as a gateway to the Gulf region, easy access to North African markets and the forecast growth in demand for vaccines in the Gulf and East Africa region.
As of the 100,000 square meters allocation of land in the industrial free zone for this complex, the phase one total required warehouse surface was about 1600 m2, divided into 4 storage rooms. One for raw materials warehouse and three rooms to store finished products.
Design and supply of a selective pallet racking system for a high-tech pharmaceutical storage to satisfy their requirements and standards was challenging enough for any warehouse rack supplier. On top of that they are located 1000 km away from the rack supplier in Muscat, the capital city of Oman.
Our Solution
Due to the multiple selectivity products and storage density for palletized finished material loads and different temperatures needed for different palletize boxes, our team worked closely with clients technical managers to reach a system that could satisfy their needs focusing on heights. meant to set up a selective pallet racking system that utilized the maximum height of each warehouse. To achieve that, we worked tirelessly on revisions in racking layout design and shared every question and ideas with clients from time to time.
By designing a storage system in the best possible way for different pharmaceutical products in their budget for pallet racking price, we enabled our client to maximize the inventory of their valuable pallet positions, to increase efficiency and speed of picking of each and every pallet.
