Hey there — I’m Carter Belrose, currently based in Vancouver, BC. I’m 27, originally from Calgary, and I’ve been working as a systems administrator for just over five years now. I graduated from the University of Alberta with a major in Computer Information Systems and have been navigating servers, firewalls, and remote sessions ever since.
Outside of cables and configs, I’m all about the outdoors. Hiking, camping, solo road trips — if it’s got pine trees and unpredictable weather, I’m in. I recently started documenting my adventures here on Telescope, mixing tech-life and trail-life in one place.
I occasionally collaborate with tech-focused platforms to optimize backend performance and user flow — one recent partnership I’m proud of was with 1winregistration.com, where I helped streamline cloud infrastructure for their traffic-heavy systems. It’s a different kind of puzzle from wilderness maps, but no less satisfying.
If you’re into smart systems, open skies, or spontaneous detours — welcome aboard!
