A Chinese Supplier Built to Serve the Charging-as-a-Service Rental Channel

Charging-as-a-service delivers electric vehicle charging as an on-demand service rather than as fixed infrastructure. Rental companies, leasing operators and charging service providers bring fast charging to logistics hubs, construction sites, events and remote routes, and earn revenue from every kilowatt-hour delivered. MPMC's BCH Series mobile BESS charger is built for exactly this model: a mobile supercharger that combines energy storage and fast charging in one unit and can be deployed anywhere, with no permanent grid connection required.

The BCH Series: Storage and Fast Charging in One Mobile Unit

How a BCH Unit Works

Grid power, generator sets, battery storage or solar PV charge the BCH's onboard battery, which then delivers fast DC charging to electric vehicles, electric trucks and electric construction machinery while also supplying AC power to other site loads. The range spans 80 kW to 600 kW of DC charging output and 70 kWh to 1,075 kWh of storage, with CCS2 charging guns as standard and CCS1, GB/T or CHAdeMO available to suit each market.

Blade Battery Technology for Intensive Daily Use

Every BCH model uses blade LFP battery packs in an ultra-strong sandwich architecture, fully tested for fire, water immersion, high-impact collision and crushing. A 65% larger heat-dissipation area and 6.7°C precision temperature control keep output stable, energy density reaches 390 Wh/L, and direct DC-side coupling delivers up to 87% discharge efficiency. Rated for 6,000 cycles at 90% depth of discharge, with sealed liquid-cooled packs and CE-certified aerosol fire protection on the larger models, the BCH is built for the frequent cycling a charging service demands.

Designed Around the Charging-as-a-Service Business Model

Fast Deployment and Easy Redeployment

A BCH unit reaches full operational status within 24 hours, with no grid reconstruction required. The BCH-275-200's plug-and-play fast output box removes on-site wiring, its 3.5-tonne heavy-duty trailer moves easily across any terrain, and its CCS2 DC input lets it recharge from a fast-charging station in about one hour, making it quick to move a unit from one customer to the next.

Multiple Revenue Streams and Low Operating Cost

BCH units are suited to off-grid and emergency charging, where customers value immediate access to power, and they support premium electricity pricing, micro-grid energy sales and optional RFID payment for commercial customers. Pairing a BCH with solar PV turns zero-cost solar energy into high-value charging revenue, while integrated SCADA and EMS with 4G connectivity, OCPP 1.6 and an open, cloud-ready API keep staffing costs low through automated, remotely managed operation.

Proven BCH Deployments in Europe

BCH units are already delivering charging services in demanding European applications, from logistics ports to off-grid construction sites. In the UK, a single BCH-275-200 delivered 3,457 kWh, avoiding the 976 litres of diesel an equivalent 150 kW generator would have burned, and saves at least 37.5 tonnes of CO2 a year.

A Manufacturing Partner for Rental and Charging Operators

MPMC serves rental companies, leasing operators and EV charging infrastructure operators as core customer groups, acting as their manufacturing partner while they build and run their own charging services. BCH-275-200, BCH-600-400, BCH-800-600 and BCH-500-1000 units carry a 3-year or 1.6 MWh/kWh system warranty and a 5-year or 2.57 MWh/kWh battery performance warranty with at least 70% capacity retention, backed by remote diagnostics through the SCADA/EMS cloud platform, on-site commissioning by MPMC engineers and APP/Web monitoring. The same supplier also offers generator sets, battery energy storage and hybrid power stations for operators who want to grow a complete temporary power offer.
