Hi Ashley,

I’ll go straight to the point and admit that I have had a sense of things not being so smooth between us in the past weeks, but I only just made some connections this morning.

The earliest I can point to this is the VSL event. I noticed how. your mood was not the most pleasant, and I suspected that I had something to do with your interactions with Perpetua. I knew it felt different when I couldn’t bring myself to enjoy dancing with you.

Then there was the Young & Free event. I really can say what exactly happened to you that morning, but I know it was beyond not being able to find a dress. I wanted to enjoy the fact that we were present together at the service so badly, but that wasn’t the case. I felt your energy levels fall constantly from the time we left Ahava, throughout the drive to Ikeja, and during the event. I remember hearing you mention how frustrated you were when you came out to look for me while I was buying some items from the shop at The Arena.

Then there was the movie we wanted to see at Landmark, but had to go to Lekki to see instead. Nothing serious happened on that day, but I thought it worthy of mention to note how your responses to my messages were telling on you. I responded to you with “Okay”, but it was really an acknowledgment of your updates, which you didn‘t seem to take well.

Anyways, the reason why I. detailed this series of events is because that how my mind is able to trace them. It‘s a way for me to account for the instances where I could‘ve been proactive to sense whatever was going on. but I just. assumed it was business as usual until this cloud of uncertainties started to hover.

How are we?

Been a minute since we asked that question. Maybe it's because we were doing so well cruising on the initial excitement. But I’m not one to depend on such (as I like to say “Initial gra gra no dey last”). It’s time to ask that question with as much honesty and openness as we can afford.

Love, Jeffery
