Over 200 pets have been taken in exchange for ransom.

Jaspal Gill, a man, was recently given a prison term for stealing pets. He used to take people's pets in exchange for a ransom. Jaspal occasionally employed children to phone pet owners and get them to pay. To date, he has taken almost 200 animals. If the owner doesn't give him the cash he used to sell the animals to other buyers, he will sue. He was recently caught trying to steal a pet and received a jail sentence.
