Types of Fire Suppression Systems

Water-Based Systems

The most common way to knock out fires. They are simple, effective, and widely used for general office spaces. They use water in a reservoir or connect directly to the building’s water supply. This sprays water as a mist or in heavier streams to put out the flames. They do however cause water damage, especially on electronics.

Foam Systems

Foam systems combine water and foam concentrate to smother fires. They work by cutting off the fire’s oxygen supply and cooling it down. These are especially good for spaces with flammable liquids, like chemical storage areas or industrial facilities.

Gaseous Agent Systems

Gaseous agent systems are the best choice for IT equipment. They work by evenly releasing clean gases through nozzles to extinguish flames without leaving behind residue and damaging electronics. Since they are non-conductive and non-corrosive, they are the reliable choice for protecting electronics.
