Tax Day is Only Months Away As per the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, April 15th of every year is considered Tax Day in the US. Most American citizens who are calendar year filers are required by law to complete and submit their returns to the Internal Revenue Service by April 15th. This is the due date for filing original returns electronically or by post. If a taxpayer misses this deadline, they are subject to penalties and interest until their taxes are paid in full.
