قیدهای زمان حال ساده:

• still, yet, when(ever), after, as soon as, before, once, until, up to the time, as, while, since

کاربرد when و whenever:

• مرتبط کردن دو عمل که به دنبال هم اتفاق می‌افتند.

مثال:

• When people work together, they can accomplish much more.
• Whenever people work together, they can accomplish much more.

کاربرد up to the time, until, once, before, as soon as, after:

• مرتبط کردن کارهای دارای توالی در عبارات متوالی.

مثال:

• People settle in one area before they develop agriculture. Once more people have begun to farm, a food surplus often develops.

کاربرد as و while:

• مرتبط کردن کارهایی که تقریباً با هم در یک زمان اتفاق می‌افتند.

مثال:

• As the population increases, a need for technology develops.

کاربرد since:

• مرتبط کردن یک عمل به عملی دیگر که در جریان است.

مثال:

• Societies have been developing since the first humans walked on the Earth.

قیدهای زمان گذشته:

• before, by the time, until, after, as soon as, when, while, etc

مثال:

• Before the game began, they had already known the result.
• By the time she called them, she had gone to a safe place.
• As soon as Sara graduated from university, she found a job.
• After they had cleaned the room, the girls started cooking.
