"There is و There are":

کاربرد:

• برای اشاره به وجود یا حضور کسی یا چیزی
• مثال:There is a letter on your desk.
  There are three Japanese students in my class.
  

There is / There's:

• شکل مفرد
• There's: استفاده در صحبت کردن غیررسمی
• مثال:There is a new cafe in the centre of town.
  She's very determined and there's no chance she will change her mind.
  

There are:

• شکل جمع There is / There's
• مثال:There are two new buildings next to the school.
  

موارد استثنایی:

• در صحبت کردن و نگارش غیررسمی، گاهی از There's برای جمع هم استفاده می شود.
• مثال:There's three other people who are still to come.
  There's lots of cars in the car park.
  

نکات:

• در جملات مثبت، از there is برای مفرد و there are برای جمع استفاده می شود.
• مثال:There is one table in the classroom.
  There are three chairs in the classroom.
