If your child shows interest in a certain sport or craft, it is important to encourage them to continue learning and start training or practice immediately. If the skill your child is practicing has or not the potential to become a pursuable career is irrelevant, because regardless of this whatever talent or ability they are training will always leave them with a wider skillset and, sometimes, will even help them discover a different way of going about things.
Don’t stunt your child’s growth by telling them to stop playing things that are “useless in the real world”, because the truth is that no skillset is useless at all, they’re just useful under different circumstances. Get your child a chess kid trainer, take them to piano lessons, take cooking classes with them, help them grow and develop in every aspect of their life!
