Brilliant movie. Came to know about this movie from former American president Barack Obama’s list of best watches.
Silence persists throughout the movie even with the exquisite background score (Kudos to Aska Matsumiya). The futuristic plot of the movie really puts you into thought.
Justin. H. Min gave a memorable perfomance as an android called Yang(Seriously need to follow his work more).
One of the striking moments was when Collin farrel asked Haley Lu whether the character portrayed by Min wanted to be human to which she replied “ Whats so great about being human”. Yang who is a technosapien (Yup, that's a term) bought for helping Farrell and Jodie turner’s adopted asian kid to connect with her heritage is more at zen with his conditions. He has created an array of short memories from all 3 lifetimes (owners) he had lived which when we see is bitter sweet and reminds us of the transitory nature of our existence.
I watched this movie in my hostel room to kill the time and my anger towards the unreasonable coursework. This made me realize the fact the half the time, we are simply existing. No need to be super ultra productive or hustle 24*7. Sometimes you just need to breathe and BE.
