My name is Giorgio Fazio, and my online journey began in 1995, when the online world was just beginning to unfold. I recall the screeching of dial-up modems, websites built with nothing more than HTML and hope, and the thrill of exploring something brand new. generative music project
It was in that era that I built my very first website, using basic HTML on Notepad, uploading it through FTP to a free host. There were no templates, where creativity met limitations head-on. That first website was nothing fancy, but it was the beginning of a lifelong obsession.
Over the years, I watched the internet evolve, from static pages to dynamic content. I stayed curious, teaching myself new coding languages. I’ve experimented with every kind of online venture, some that failed, some that thrived, and many that taught me more than books ever could.
When Yahoo was king and Ask Jeeves still existed, the digital world felt like a personal playground. There was something magical about how communities formed out of pixels and posts, and I still carry that enthusiasm today.
Being online turned into my career and my calling. Whether it was UI design or server architecture, solving problems through code. My clients range from indie creators to global enterprises, helping them tell their story through digital platforms.
Yet that kid coding in Notepad is still part of who I am, remembering the joy of “View Source” and tweaking HTML. I believe the best websites aren’t just pretty—they’re purposeful.
Today, I’m still building, still learning, still exploring, whether it’s a new project or mentoring someone starting out. Technology has changed, but the heart of the web hasn’t.
One lesson that keeps repeating online is simple: Keep building. Each line of code is part of something bigger, and a new challenge to solve.
