The vocation of the monks is to be a spiritual leader who intercedes with God on behalf of all humanity and all of creation, especially those suffering from poverty, sickness, handicaps, mental illness, and loss of hope. In addition, they are a spiritual guide and mentor for those seeking to live this type of spiritual life.
The Community
Once a year the quiet community of Manti Utah is transformed into a hub of activity as thousands of people from around the world flock there to experience the Mormon Miracle Pageant.
Known for its elaborate set design and large cast, the pageant is a spectacle unto itself. During the 52-year run, the production has wowed millions of viewers across the country and beyond.
One of the most remarkable features of the pageant is how one small community can pull off such a production. The pageant boasts a cast of 1,133 plus 1,000+ makeup artists, sound technicians, lighting specialists and costume designers.
The best part is that these teams of individuals work together for a common purpose. They are all dedicated to the same goal, to transform lives.
In the course of their endeavors, these mighty companions have encountered the Holy Spirit in all forms. Some have experienced the most extraordinary visions, the most powerful of blessings and a renewed sense of purpose to serve others.

While it is common to hear about “miracles” in the news, we are often unaware of the many, small personal miracles that happen all the time to each of us. These are sometimes called “tender mercies” – small things that may not seem like they have a big effect but are nevertheless a sign of God’s love and care for us.
These tender mercies are a wonderful way to see God’s hand in our everyday life and help bring us closer to Him. However, we also need to remember that these small things are only a small part of what makes up our daily lives.
In order to understand what a miracle is, we need to start with the definition of a miracle: ”A divine event in which God intervenes to restore or save an object from destruction.” We must realize that every natural phenomenon that occurs is ultimately a work of God.
This miracle is a powerful example of the divine nature of Jesus Christ, as well as His power over substance and time. It demonstrates that He possesses the ability to transform anything into something better, more organized and better than it was before. It is reminiscent of the Creation of the earth, where everything Jehovah created was unified and good (Genesis 1).
