What’s the best example of a pyrrhic victory that happened to you?
I came across this question on the profile of someone I just matched with (🤞), and my first response was “What’s the opposite of pyrrhic victory? Cos I sure have had my share of those”. According to some internauts, it’s a Laevinic defeat, “a situation where a party loses a battle or a war, but at a relatively low cost, and without suffering significant harm or damage”, but that’s not quite what I had in mind. I have experienced several setbacks in my life (most of them in recent years), but each one has left me almost grateful for the insights I’ve been afforded into my self and the way I deal with things, and the revelations I’ve received about people or situations I thought were a certain way.
