Now, Fatshark has disclosed a new trailer for Darktide, showing a closer glance at the Zealot model and its Preacher class. The Zealot is one of four archetypes that players can choose from when they make a character in Darktide. Joining the Ogryn, the Veteran, and the Psyker, the Zealot is committed entirely to the Sovereign, who acts as a significant blessed figure in Warhammer 40K legend. Every model in Darktide has its own class, which further refines the playstyle with a special range of skills and abilities. As referenced, for the Zealot, their class is the Preacher.

The Preacher comes with a passive increase to skirmish assault speed, as well as a loadout that complements this more aggressive style of play, as they are outfitted with a battle hatchet and autopistol. Darktide's Preachers will likely go about as a bleeding edge DPS kind of character for their party, giving the ranged archetypes a lot of space. Nonetheless, it seems that according to a legend perspective the Preacher may not appreciate being in that frame of mind, as Fatshark states that both the Ogryn and Psyker archetypes are likely to get a tongue lashing from the Preacher in some of Darktide's many novel voice lines.

While the Preacher unquestionably seems a legitimate step for the Zealot original, some fans may be worried by the way that it seems there might be one class for each model at send off. Vermintide 2's classes let players choose from three distinct options, each with exceptional skills and passive abilities. For those who want customization however, Darktide seems to be brimming with it, as the game will permit players to make their own remarkable character rather than making them pick from pre-established adventurers.
