stand facing north. raise your wand or hand.
turn clockwise while saying:
“with the casting of this circle i invite (deities you worship/work with) to my spell and ask that i be protected from all negative influences, i ask that only spirits of light be allowed to remain, only positive energies be allowed to participate.”
when you turn all the way around and are facing north again, draw a pentacle in the air with your finger or wand.
if you need to leave the circle, draw a door with your finger. when you reenter the circle, visualize the hole closing and energy flowing into it.
when you close the circle, thank any deities you invoked (skip if you did not invite any deities), and if you invoked any elements, thank the elements.
to close the circle, face north and turn counterclockwise and say:
“i draw the energy of the circle back into myself and ask that only spirits of goodness and light be allowed to remain. i banish all negativity.”
