The mermaid had a face crafted from molten snow and sunrays. It was bright but comforting. It tasted like the alloy ring the fox used to wear as a child and kiss when his mind was caught in a knot. But she couldn’t swim. The mermaid you see was once a white swan who flew and sang, much akin to the black duck that got away.
Like any other animal, the white swan once fell in love with a man-cub and the man cub-broke her heart in ways she couldn’t imagine, and so the God-fearing white swan decided to fly off into the sunset, into the world of the rainbows for good. If only things were so easy.
You cant literally fly into the world of rainbows. You have to turn yourself into an omelette first. Once you‘ve done that the Memories of You turn to steam and is inhaled by the world of rainbows for good. Somebody once told the fox that this happens only if you are Good.
“What if you are bad?”
The fox had asked, but the answer was not so obvious. You see The world of the fox doesn’t have good and bad. It only has Wisdom and ignorance
The half-demon king from the Island flew in on his plane and stole the wise prince’s wife, not out of evil intent, but out of ignorance that fawned from jealousy.
Animals inevitably become omelettes in the end but then some animals choose to omlettify themselves earlier in life.
