When Kham gets older, he receives his own elephant, Kohrn. One day, the elephants in his village are stolen. Aggrieved and angry, Kham sets out on a vengeful journey and travels to Australia to retrieve all the stolen elephants. He visits a popular Thai club, "Tom Yum Goong," run by a Vietnamese gangster named Tommy. He invites Kham to a secret VIP club whose members are fond of eating endangered species.

The Chinese mafia and Madame Rose control the club and are the masterminds behind the elephant’s abduction. You’ll also find the Australian police are also involved in the elephant’s disappearance. So, Kham has very few allies in the movie. Kham fights his way through many gang members and corrupt police officials to save the elephants and bring them back to his village. The movie expertly showcases the political and military machinations of the ruling families in Thailand, all competing to become the next ruler of Siam. So, if you’re familiar with the movie 300 (on the Spartan’s stand against the Persians), you’ll observe many familiarities between the sentiments and emotions behind its battle scenes.

The legend of Suriyothai is one of the most expensive movies ever made in Thailand and features many famous and talented actors from the 2000s. The story begins in the humble Ban Nong Pradu village that worships a precious Buddha statue to ensure the village stays safe. The Buddha statue was greatly revered. Luckily, the village has a very strong martial artist, Ting (played by Tony Jaa). Ting goes on a quest to retrieve the statue and save his village.
