Gary Renard is a world-renowned speaker and best-selling author of a course in miracles. He teaches workshops on the book around the globe to sold-out audiences.

Yet despite the countless claims of miracles, Occam’s razor still applies. DU sounds much more like a literary construction than the dialogue of three different entities.

The Disappearance of the Universe

Until recently, most people believed that the ego had the power to control our lives. The emergence of A Course in Miracles (ACIM) brought the reality of an alternative to this belief system, one that promises to free us from the illusion that we are separate entities. This workshop will explore the underlying spiritual principles behind ACIM and offer practical ways to experience the non-physical realities that it reveals.

What would you do if two strangers suddenly appeared in your living room and told you they were ascended masters who had come to reveal some shocking secrets of existence and teach you advanced forgiveness? Gary Renard chose to listen to them carefully and ask lots of questions. The result was this startling book, an extraordinary record of 17 mind-bending conversations that reoriented his life and gave the world an uncompromising introduction to a spiritual teaching destined to change human history.

While The Disappearance of the Universe is peppered with Gary-isms—references to sex, beer drinking, and so on—it also provides an astonishingly accurate explanation of A Course in Miracles. Its crystalline clarity has made it a valuable introduction to the Course for newcomers as well as a helpful refresher for long time students, and a crucial tool for those who have struggled with its dense metaphysical text.

A bestselling author of A Course in Miracles and Your Immortal Reality, Gary Renard is a leading international speaker on the subject of A Course in Miracles. He serves on the faculty of Omega Institute and conducts workshops worldwide to sold-out audiences. His books have been translated into 22 languages, and his website reaches thousands of people every day. This is a lively and profound workshop, and it is an important addition to our understanding of the deeper meaning of the Course. It shows how the principles of the Course can be applied to our daily lives to release us from our limiting beliefs and experiences. In doing so, we can open our hearts to the love that lies beyond the illusory separation that seems so real.

Your Immortal Reality

Gary Renard is a best-selling author of the books, A Course in Miracles, The Disappearance of the Universe and Your Immortal Reality. He serves on the faculty of Omega Institute and conducts workshops around the world for sold-out audiences. He and his wife, Cindy, also teach online classes on A Course in Miracles every month.

The Course presents a totally different concept of the world, one that reflects truth rather than illusion. It asserts that our true home is in heaven, and that our lives are meant to be lived with love and happiness. Its thought system is highly intellectual, combining spiritual inspiration with deep understanding of psychological concepts such as the nature of belief systems and defense mechanisms.

But while the Course’s teachings are profound, they’re not easy to grasp or put into practice. Getting rid of our belief in the separation from God and realizing the oneness of all life is a process that takes time, patience and a willingness to let go of everything we’ve been taught to believe. The Course teaches that we need help from the other side in order to do this, and it suggests that we have many guides to choose from.

Arten and Pursah are two of these guides. According to Renard, they have come from the future, but they never revealed their true names or provided any physical evidence of their existence to him. He claims that they took notes and made tape recordings, but he didn’t show these to anyone else, not even his wife. He says that they even gave him their own aliases to protect their identity and that they told him that no one in the future would know what their true names were.

Renard’s interactions with these masters are very strange and unsettling. He says that they speak to him through a voice called the Holy Spirit and that he can only hear them if his mind is calm and he’s not thinking of anything else. He also claims that he has taken pictures and made videotapes of these conversations, but he won’t allow people to view these materials because they could be considered blasphemous.

A Course in Miracles: Combined Volume

A Course in Miracles (ACIM) is a self-study system of “spiritual psychology” that has touched the lives of over three million people. Its profound spiritual teachings are combined with deep and far-reaching psychological insights. The three-volume work is based on the principle that all healing and awakening come from within.

A former Columbia University psychology professor, Helen Schucman, began to experience a series of inner visions, heightened dreams and psychic experiences in 1965. As a result, she started to receive a series of written instructions from an unknown source. These instructions eventually accumulated into the three-volume work of A Course in Miracles. Helen received these words through a process she called "inner dictation."

The first edition of A Course in Miracles was published in 1976. Since then, it has been translated into over twenty-seven languages and has become a worldwide phenomenon. The Course has changed the lives of men and women from every walk of life and from all major faiths. It has affected the lives of both the famous and the unknown, from world leaders to ordinary people. It has also had a direct impact on the world’s political climate, and on the economic situation.

This Combined Volume is the only edition that contains all the writings that Helen Schucman, A Course in Miracles' Scribe, authorized to be printed. It includes the Text, the Workbook for Students and the Manual for Teachers, which is presented in question-and-answer form to address many of the most commonly asked questions about the Course. It also includes two valuable Supplements to the Course: Psychotherapy: Purpose, Process and Practice and The Song of Prayer.

The Heart of A Course in Miracles

Gary Renard is the best-selling author of The Disappearance of the Universe and serves on the faculty of Omega Institute, where he conducts workshops on A Course in Miracles around the world to sold out audiences. His unique teachings blend a disarming sense of humor with radical, cutting edge metaphysical information and experiential exercises.

A Course in Miracles, also known as ACIM, is a three-volume set of spiritual teachings that was first published in 1976 by the Foundation for Inner Peace. Helen Schucman, a Columbia University psychology professor, received the book through a process of "inner dictation." The text and workbook are written in poetic language with blank verse and have led many to compare it to some of the world's great literature. The course's thought system is intellectually sophisticated and encompasses a wide range of topics including forgiveness, beliefs and perceptions.

The Course's metaphysics are largely aligned with Eastern mysticism, although it uses Christian terminology and draws heavily from Western religious traditions. Its fundamental message is that human suffering is not caused by the presence of evil, but by a lack of forgiveness. The goal of the course is to learn how to forgive and therefore transcend human suffering and experience eternal life.

In addition to the Text and Workbook, the Course contains a Manual for Teachers that addresses how to teach the curriculum of the course to others. While the course can be read by anyone, it is intended that those who complete the study of the Text and Workbook will then extend its teachings to others. The Course describes two forms of this extension, one involving the role of teacher and the other of healer.

Although the Course is based on Christian teachings, it does not promote any particular religion or denomination and makes no claim to being "the only way." Its teachings are explicitly non-dual, and the course clearly states that there are thousands of spiritual paths that lead to God. In fact, it even references the Hindu scripture the Bhagavad Gita to emphasize this point. Although Ken Wapnick, another well-known A Course in Miracles teacher, has referred to the Course as the Christian Vedanta, it is the policy of the Foundation for Inner Peace that no single person or group endorses the teachings of the course.
