Next up are the Workers, who work in factories and provide more advanced goods. Then there are the Artisans, who require more luxury goods and services to maintain their happiness. - Jornaleros

Jornaleros live in small houses and have basic needs, such as food, clothing, and shelter. They are also the most numerous population class in the game and are required for the production and operation of various industries and buildings. To advance to higher population tiers, players need to fulfill the basic needs of Jornaleros, such as providing them with enough food, water, and basic amenities. - Obreros

Obreros require basic needs such as food, clothing, and housing to survive, and they will demand more advanced amenities as their social class advances. Providing for Obreros can be challenging as they can be very demanding, and their needs can quickly outpace your ability to provide for them. However, by investing in their needs, you can unlock new production chains and resources that will help you to expand your city and meet the needs of higher-level social classes.

- Envoys

Citizen Envoys are special characters that can be sent to other players' cities or neutral AI factions to establish diplomatic relations and initiate trade agreements. Citizen Envoys are recruited from the City Hall and require a certain level of population and a specific amount of influence to be available. Once recruited, they can be assigned to a destination city or faction, and their mission will begin. During their mission, Citizen Envoys will negotiate with the target faction or city to establish a trade agreement, allowing for the exchange of goods and resources between the two parties.

- Enforcers

Enforcers are the highest tier of police officers, with better combat abilities and increased efficiency at preventing crime compared to regular police officers. Enforcers require a higher level of living conditions and certain luxury goods to be satisfied, such as soap and coffee. They also require access to certain buildings, such as a firearms factory and an academy, to produce firearms and improve their combat skills. Enforcers can be recruited by upgrading police stations to their maximum level, and can also be obtained through completing certain quests or purchasing them from the NPC trader. They can be further upgraded through the use of items and by providing them with better living conditions and luxury goods.

- Scientists

Scientists are considered a high-tier citizen class, above farmers, workers, artisans, and engineers. They require access to specific goods, such as spectacles and pocket watches, to maintain their level of satisfaction and productivity. Scientists are responsible for researching and developing new technologies, which can unlock new buildings, production chains, and resources. They also contribute to the overall productivity of the city by providing bonuses to nearby buildings. Scientists must ensure that the city's economy and production chains are stable and efficient, as scientists require a steady supply of goods to maintain their satisfaction and productivity.

Pirates

Pirates in ANNO 1800 are represented by a group of rogue ships that roam the game's oceans. These ships can be identified by their distinctive black sails and pirate flags. When they encounter the player's ships, they may attack and attempt to board them, stealing cargo and damaging the vessel. Players can defend themselves against pirates by outfitting their ships with weapons and hiring additional crew members. They can also build defensive structures on their coastal settlements, such as walls and guard towers, to protect against pirate raids.

Diplomats

Diplomats possess a distinct skill set that enables them to negotiate with other groups more efficiently, thereby aiding in the establishment of trade pacts, alliances, and other diplomatic advantages. For example, players can give them special clothing or accessories that increase their charisma or negotiation skills.

Traders

Traders are non-playable characters (NPCs) that visit the player's island and offer various goods for sale. To trade with a trader, the player must have a trading post or a dock on their island. The player can then send a ship to the trader to buy or sell goods. Traders can also provide quests for the player to complete, which can offer rewards like additional resources or access to new technologies.
