If Protests do not work, What's Next?

Every time the youths complain, protest, or express frustration, the intention is clear: we want a better society and a better nation.

But why does it often feel like our voices get lost in the crowd?

Why does it seem like nothing changes even when we shout the loudest?

The truth is simple: noise only brings a temporary solution.

If we want real, lasting solutions, it is time to move beyond protest and step into influence.

What exactly do we want, and how do we get it?

Complaints have been heard. Protests have been noted. But now, strategy is the new strength.

Ekimogun Youths Connect (EYC) is calling every thinking, visionary, passionate youth to gather, not for anger, but for advancement.

If you think the leaders of today are not doing enough, how prepared are you to take the mantle of leadership?

Actualising our dreams for our society, and nation is a journey that begins with the right step.

The choices we make today, the conversations we hold, the rooms we enter, and the policies we influence are the steps.

You are not going to wake up one day, and boom, everything becomes as good as you wanted, It is one step at a time.

We must start to engage our leaders now, not later

If youths want a better society and a better nation, then youths must understand the leadership challenges that shape their society and nation at large.

You cannot influence what you do not understand.

You cannot demand change from a distance.
Therefore, creating avenues for meaningful interactions with present leaders is no longer just important, it is highly imperative.

At EYC, we believe that the energy of Ondo youths should not be wasted on frustration, it should be channelled into development.

This is why the Topic for the upcoming public lecture is more than a phrase; it is a transformation. From Protest to Policy: Transforming Youth Energy into Nation Building.

On Friday 19th December, 2025, at the Ondo West Local Government Secretariat Hall, Fagun, Ondo, let the forward-thinking youths ready to rewrite the narrative meet.

Your absence means one less voice for progress.

Your presence means one more mind contributing to a stronger, better, more united society.

When youths sit at decision tables, development accelerates, and when we move together with purpose, the society transforms.

Conclusion

Decide that you will be part of history, not part of the passive crowd.

On December 19th, let's declare that Ondo youths are ready to lead with intellect, not anger.

We are ready to contribute solutions, not just complaints.

Come out! Let’s transform our energies into nation building.

I will be part of the progress!
