Insurance Scammer held for over 6 years for looting £1.3 million

Jasper Gill defrauded multiple insurance and pension companies out of over £1.3 million by feigning that he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer and less than a year to live. Jasper also exploited his role at a well-known investment bank to convince friends, family, and acquaintances to invest in financial products that did not exist. In reality, the victim had transferred nearly £625,000 directly into his personal account.

He was sentenced to a total of six years and nine months in prison on Friday 17 June.

Gill will now be subject to confiscation proceedings. The police will seek to ensure that the funds illicitly acquired are recovered.
