I ponder what canI do to lessen their pain…
To make them understand that there is everything to gain.
Having a child is their ultimate dream…
But that does not mean their life is like a cake without the crème.
I see them cry – day in and day out, some out of guilt,some out of their plight;
Poking words, taunts and tantrums they face
But to the outside world they smile, without pain leaving a trace.
They reach out to me , they seek out to me- and I try to be more than just what a doctor can be
Sometimes a friend, sometimes a guide- to have their faiths in me reside.
Their journey with me is difficult I know well,
The courage and patience they show make our hearts swell.
Together we begin on a difficult and tumultuous path,
but believe that I will lead to a great happiness hath.
Not only your job but we share their tears,
But make them ready to rest, without any fears.
The joy of parenthood will make them beam,
Wathching them proud sure makes us gleam.
Each one of us goes through our own pregnancy,
We- on the other hand have gone through thousands already.
