SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake (Review)

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a superb opportunity to revisit the old PS2 platforms and is a great nostalgic journey. If you enjoy classic platformer games, you will most likely be happy with The Cosmic Shake. Some may say it's a great starter title for kids who might be starting to explore the category of platforming but I think it is a lot more than this. SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is the perfect family game, enjoyable for persons of all ages. The controls are fairly simple to master; but, they may be difficult at times considering the lack of accuracy when it comes to moving from platform to platform or tackling enemies. It has a rather simple gameplay, suitable for beginners and small children, however, in its classical build many older players may get nostalgic.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a tribute to the show in an array of modes. There are many loveable characters in the show that appear in The Cosmic Shake. Squidward in particular is a perfect video game's rhythm component due to his poor clarinet performance that is presented in the show. Purple Lamp is moreover adding to its mechanic's new boasts, new possibilities for traversing, new universes, as well as plenty of references to the show. Most of the characters from the show appear in the game and they have been played before but this will not stop the fun. In addition, players may unlock costumes by collecting gold jelly and doubloons.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake owns something to past games of the series. The boss battles aren't that great, for example, it's a shame that it is not possible to tour Bikini Bottom's most iconic buildings. The show likewise does not improve if not equal the legendary character and humor that Battle For Bikini Bottom had having its wrestling ring and commentary. The catchy music, the humor for everyone, and the fun characters sucked me into the realm of Bikini Bottom. Inside it, you action side quests in and around the damaged Bikini Bottom and go to these new themed realms.

Funny enough, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a sequel to the recently launched Sonic Prime. You will appreciate the cartoonish art, beautiful graphics, and original voices. Puzzles and sidequests are satisfying as well. There's excellent voice acting by Tom Kenny, the voice actor of SpongeBob in the TV Show. Many premium things were incorporated into The Cosmic Shake. Not to mention that if you're looking to buy cheap PS4 games, there are not so many games on the same level as SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake. It is absolutely one of my unforeseen most-loved videogames of the year.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake - Verdict

The Battle for Bikini Bottom remake was a lot of fun. SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is on the same path, and you won't regret playing it. Reading reviews online about this game and seeing the rankings, you may be led to believe it is not a good game. You will have to remember that most critics see the game with different eyes than regular players. While not innovative, The Cosmic Shake is 100% fun.
