Nobody really cares if you’re doing what you’re doing, unless you’re a celebrity or some gazillionaire. This happens the older we get.
When we‘re younger, we have hype friends who are supportive of whatever we get ourselves into. But like petals from a flower in bloom, they eventually fall out for whatever reasons they have.
So my note to self: the older you get, especially if you weren’t able to establish yourself during the season of youth and hype... it gets harder to believe in your dreams and try new things. But.
The older you get, the more you should be your own hype person and be your own self‘s biggest fan. So when you do your own thing, and nobody else cares, you will find that it doesn’t matter and it‘s okay, you still do you and be at peace with your process. You must always care for yourself that way among many other means.
Maybe once you start caring about yourself, you could extend this kindness to others, and be not like the rest who don’t care the older we get.
