A Glimpse into Our History
In 1902, the Falmouth School of Art opened its doors with a mission to "promote the useful and fine arts, encourage industry, and tap into the ingenuity of a community known for its mechanical prowess." The institution's original vision was to shape the future of manufacturing through imagination and innovation. As we celebrate our history, we reflect on the contributions of our local community, which has helped mold our institution over the years.
In 2016, the Communications department at Falmouth University took charge of designing our prospectus covers in-house. In 2023, they captured the essence of our students and their evolving creative identities, highlighting their role as catalysts for innovation through a combination of studio photography, image enhancement, and thoughtful graphic design.
